Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU) convened a strategic meeting with key local stakeholders, including representatives from the local government, police, public health officials, community leaders, and surrounding businesses, to discuss and address important issues affecting both the university and the local community.
The HCU delegation was led by Vice President for Administration, Dr. Siriwan Tantrawanit, who emphasized the importance of collaboration in fostering a safe and supportive environment for students, faculty, and local residents alike.
The meeting centered on addressing core concerns such as peace and order, health and well-being, and the provision of adequate housing facilities near the campus. Through this open forum, HCU and community leaders discussed actionable steps to improve security, enhance public health measures, and ensure proper accommodation for students and nearby residents. Since 2017, HCU has not increased it dormitory prices for employees and students to help them cope with increasing prices of goods and services. HCU also successfully negotiated better accommodation rates for students and employees aiming to stay outside the university campus but within the perimeter of the university.
This collaborative effort is part of HCU’s commitment to creating a supportive and harmonious environment within its community, demonstrating the university’s proactive approach to building relationships and addressing shared concerns. By engaging directly with local stakeholders, HCU not only strengthens community ties but also ensures that its campus remains a safe, healthy, and welcoming space for all.
