In alignment with the HCU Library Policy 2017, the library’s services are open to all with extended hours for convenient access:
Access to the library is free of charge, providing an inviting space for students, researchers, and the public. All visitors are required to present a valid identification card to enter. This policy supports HCU’s commitment to fostering a welcoming environment that promotes learning, research, and cultural engagement.
In addition to general access, the library houses special collections, including the distinguished Chinese Studies section. This section contains a unique collection of century-old Chinese newspapers, offering a rare glimpse into historical narratives, culture, and perspectives. Access to this valuable archive requires an official letter of permission, allowing the library to preserve these delicate materials while facilitating scholarly research.
For those seeking specific resources not available on-site, the HCU Library offers WorldShare Management System access. Through this system, library users can request materials from partnering libraries worldwide. HCU Library will charge only the amount required by the lending library, with no additional service fee for e-copies, and charges only the postage fee for hard copies, making international academic resources affordable and accessible.
The HCU Library’s updated policies and extended hours reflect the university’s dedication to academic enrichment and cultural preservation. By providing easy access to resources and opening special collections for deeper study, the library strengthens the academic and research community at HCU and enhances its role as a cultural and educational hub for both Thai and international scholars.
