The Faculty of Law at Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU) is actively contributing to the upskilling and capacity-building of local police officers by providing specialized legal training designed to address common legal issues encountered in routine policing. Held twice a year, this training initiative aims to deepen the officers’ understanding of legal procedures and improve their ability to handle complex situations with confidence and accuracy.
The training sessions cover essential topics, including updates in criminal law, rights and protections, evidence handling, and legal procedures critical to maintaining public trust and upholding the rule of law. By building knowledge in these areas, police officers gain the tools to make informed decisions that align with legal standards, enhancing their ability to serve and protect the community effectively.
This partnership underscores HCU’s commitment to social responsibility and the importance of bridging academic knowledge with practical, community-oriented applications. By equipping officers with enhanced legal skills, HCU contributes to stronger, more legally aware policing, ultimately benefiting the wider community through more professional, transparent, and just law enforcement practices.
