Huachiew Chalermprakiet University Launches "Longevity Secrets: Strong Body and Mind Health" Course

On November 10, 2023, Huachiew Chalermprakiet University successfully concluded its “Longevity Secrets: Strong Body and Mind Health” course, an initiative designed to enhance the overall well-being of the university’s staff and employees pursuant to the HCU SDG Policy 2022. Organized by the Human Resources Department, the course aims to equip participants with valuable tools to promote mental and physical health, fostering a more resilient and productive workforce.

Offered twice a year, this course highlights the university’s commitment to improving the mental health of its staff and employees, recognizing the significant role that well-being plays in creating a thriving academic and professional environment. In today’s fast-paced world, maintaining mental health is crucial for preventing burnout, boosting job satisfaction, and increasing overall productivity. The course’s holistic approach encourages staff to adopt healthier lifestyles that positively impact both their personal and professional lives.

Throughout the course, participants took part in a variety of fun and educational activities focused on nurturing both mental and physical health. Key highlights included:

  • Learning how to analyze one’s basic body needs, empowering individuals to make healthier lifestyle choices.
  • Discovering the principles of using food as medicine, promoting the understanding of nutrition as a powerful tool for maintaining well-being.

  • Practicing Qigong, a traditional Chinese exercise that supports physical health, relaxation, and mental clarity.

Staff and employees who require further assistance, including consultations with psychologists or psychiatrists, are referred to appropriate services through the Human Resources Referral System.
